Fulham were a pretty decent side in the previous edition of the English Premier League. London’s oldest professional football club had plenty of leaks in their ship but they did fix most of them by signing the right players before the 2022-23 season. Rightly so, they got some good results that they wanted.
For the record, they were relegated from the Premier League in the wake of their dismal performance in the 2020/21 season where they finished 18th in the table. They could garner 28 points from the 38 games they played in that season, winning just five games, losing 22 and the rest of the 13 games ended in draws.
However, they made a stellar rebound by finishing the EFL Championship 2021-22 as table-toppers, collecting 90 points. Notably, they got promoted to England’s top-tier football competition. Fulham finished 10th on the table, collecting 52 points from 15 wins and 7 draws. They would be very much contended with their performance.
Marco Silva did a pretty good job of instilling a great deal of belief, confidence and mental resilience in his teammates. They will be looking forward to putting up good performances in the EPL 2023-24 season as well. They are a bit busy in the market, looking for the right players that fit their bill.
EPL 2023-24: Fulham agree deal to sign Wolves striker
Meanwhile, in the latest development, Fulham have green the green light to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. striker Raul Raúl Jiménez. According to a renowned journalist, Fabrizio Romano, both clubs have agreed regarding the deal and it is just that they are waiting to exchange and sign all the documents this week.
The journalist further added that a fee of around £5.5m has been fixed and the personal terms will be finalized on Monday followed by the medical. The Mexican professional footballer plied his trade as a forward for the Wolves club for five seasons. Initially, he joined the Wolves on loan in 2018 from Benfica before the deal was made permanent in the subsequent year.
“Raúl Jiménez to Fulham, here we go! It’s all agreed between the two clubs, just waiting to exchange and sign all the documents this week. Fee around £5.5m fixed, personal terms to be sealed on Monday then medical,” Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

The 32-year-old forward had one more year left on his Wolves deal but preferred to make a switch to an exciting club steered by Marco Silva. The veteran footballer will hope that the Spaniard will bring the best out of himself going forward in the EPL 2023-24 season.
