Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be eyeing their elusive Indian Premier League this time around under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis. RCB made earnest attempts to pull off something magnificent in league stages and even beyond the playoffs but their inability to come out on top in clutch moments have often haunted them. They made it to the finals of the competition in 2009, 2011 and 2016 respectively.
Unfortunately, they surrendered at the hands of the Deccan Chargers (now-defunct franchise), Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. As far as their performance in the last season is concerned, they were unable to crack the code to sneak into the top four. While they performed well in patches, they also failed to pick up wins. Having played 14 games, they won 7 wins and lost 7 games and finished sixth on the points table.

Meanwhile, a renowned Norwegian DJ and music producer, Alan Walker is set to grace RCB unbox event ahead of the seventeenth edition of the Indian Premier League. For the unversed, he burst onto prominence with “Faded” – a 2015 single track that received platinum certifications in 14 countries. After that, he also went to release several good tracks such as Force, Sing Me to Sleep, Darkside, On My Way and so on.

Scores of RCB fans expressed their happiness upon coming to know that a famous DJ is going to lit up the event this time around, which is not only good for the RCB franchise but for the IPL in general. It is good to see IPL attracting global stars because of the popularity of the league. The cricketing carnival has become a biggest business in India ever since its inception in 2008.
