After Kohli’s exit from team India’s shorter format captaincy, there were speculations whether the duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be able to stay on good terms when playing together. However, both of them have proved everyone wrong and the fans are enjoying the camaraderie between the two. Both of them seem to be working together for the greater good of the team. In the first T20I against West Indies, Virat Kohli gives his suggestion to the captain for a DRS call.
Virat Kohli gives his suggestion to Rohit Sharma
The fans witnessed a great equation between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the recently concluded ODI series against West Indies where Kohli gave his inputs and came to Rohit’s aid whenever needed. Same was the case in the first T20 International where Virat Kohli gave his suggestion when Rohit Sharma was confused about taking a DRS call. However, as he was giving his suggestion, Kohli was caught on the stump mic using foul language.
It all happened in the 9th over of the West Indies inning when Yuzvendra Chahal was bowling to Roston Chase who was new on the crease. Chahal bowled a flighted delivery which Chase wanted to paddle but missed. While Rohit looked reluctant, Chahal was pretty excited and asked him to take the review. Kohli came in with his advice and said, “G**nd par lagi hai ball”, suggesting that the ball has hit Chase’s buttocks.

Though India lost the review as the impact of the ball was outside off, Kohli’s words caught on the mic have been doing the rounds on the internet. Team India went on to register an easy win with six wickets in hand. The skipper gave a blistering start to the team and then Suryakumar Yadav gave the finishing touch with the assistance of Venkatesh Iyer. The next T20I will be played on 18th February and the Indian team will look to seal the series with a 2-0 lead.
