Recent clip of India all-rounder Hardik Pandya imitating the bowling action and style of celebration of Jasprit Bumrah has gained traction in the last few hours.
The clip is shot in the practice nets. It seems that 28-year-old Hardik was preparing for the upcoming 2022 Asia Cup there.
Bumrah gives gold reaction to Hardik Pandya imitating his action and celebration
Hardik himself shared the video on Tuesday on his Instagram, and in it, Hardik Pandya can be seen first copying the slingy action of Jasprit Bumrah (although without a run-up) and then going on to celebrate like him –with a total lack of emotion and both his hands spread out– as if nothing really happened.
The caption of Hardik’s IG post read, “How’s the form, Boom? @jaspritb1”, demanding feedback from the star bowler.

Notably, Hardik’s demand was fulfilled by the pacer in no time as Jasprit Bumrah acknowledged that the mimicry from Hardik Pandya was ON TARGET by using an emoji suggesting the same.
The golden comment from Jassi Bumrah read, “Bowling action ? celebration ?♀ @hardikpandya93”.
Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard also responded to the clip from Hardik, writing, “Zlatan”, referring to Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic who celebrates his goals in a similar spread-arms style.
Meanwhile, it has to be pointed out that while Hardik Pandya has been named in Team India’s 15-man 2022 Asia Cup squad, Jasprit Bumrah isn’t a part of it.
Bumrah is currently recovering from a back injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru alongside fellow India pacer Harshal Patel.
The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has allowed Bumrah and Harshal ample time so that the duo can be match-fit for the 2022 T20 World Cup that is scheduled to kickstart in October.
Team India will be looking for redemption in the upcoming T20 WC after their group-stage exit in the 2021 edition.
