India’s tour of West Indies has seen plenty of action from both teams in the Test and ODI series. Both the series have been done and dusted. The Test and the ODI series went in favour of the visitors. Although the Caribbeans performed well in fragments, India had the last laugh in the Test and ODI series battles.
Team India clinched the two-match Test series by 1-0 before winning the ODI series by 2-1. West Indies notched up their first win over India of this tour in the second ODI as they won the game by 6 wickets to stay alive in the series. Indian players somehow turned it around in the final battle to clinch the ODI series decider.
India’s interim skipper Hardik Pandya expressed his disappointment at the Cricket West Indies (CWI) for not having basic necessities. He was unhappy with the arrangements made by the West Indies cricket board. Hardik Pandya didn’t mince words as he launched a scathing attack on the board for the arrangements in the Caribbean.

While speaking at the post-match presentation, Hardik Pandya echoed that things can be improved when they tour West Indies in the future. He didn’t hesitate to remind the issues that the team faced on the previous tour. He urged West Indies Cricket to make sure that they provide basic necessities when a team travels to West Indies.
“This was one of the nicest grounds we have played. Things can be better when we come to West Indies next time. From travelling to managing a lot of things. Last year also, some hiccups happened. I think it’s time for West Indies Cricket to take note of it and make sure that when a team travels… We don’t ask for luxury but we need some basic necessities taken care of. Other than that, really enjoyed coming here and playing some good cricket,” Hardik Pandya stated at the post-match presentation.
Hardik Pandya who led the team in Rohit Sharma’s absence might not have got his tactics right in the second ODI but ensured to make a stellar rebound in the third ODI as a captain and batsman. He not only scored a scintillating 70 off 52 balls (4 fours, 5 sixes) but also guided the team to the biggest-ever win in West Indies.

Batting first, India aggregated 351/5 in their quota of 50 overs, courtesy of Shubman Gill’s 85, Ishan Kishan’s 77 Hardik Pandya’s unbeaten 70* and Sanju Samson’s 51. In reply, West Indies were bowled out for 151 as India won the game by 200 runs, which is their second biggest win over West Indies in ODIs.
