The most successful team in the history of IPL, Mumbai Indians had a rather forgettable run in the recently concluded edition of the Indian Premier League. One of their main-stays Kieron Pollard was criticised by Aakash Chopra and now Kieron Pollard takes a dig at Chopra for pointing out his IPL 2022 stats.
Kieron Pollard takes a dig at Aakash Chopra, deletes the tweet later
One of the main reasons of MI’s dismal performance in the tournament was the flop-show of the stalwarts in the team. This includes Kieron Pollard who didn’t look like even the shadow of himself. While Pollard has won many matches for his franchise in the past, this season was an exception for the all-rounder. The fact was pointed out by cricket analyst Aakash Chopra and Kieron Pollard takes a dig at him now for censuring his IPL 2022 stats.
The West Indian took to his Twitter account and directed a tweet at Aakash Chopra. The cricketer even tagged the former Indian cricketer; however, Pollard soon deleted the tweet. Though the tweet was deleted, it had already caught the fancy of the netizens and started circulating on the internet. The tweet by Pollard read, “Hope the fan base and followers increased @cricketaakash … keep it flowing .. #t20. !!.”
Earlier, Aakash Chopra was quite critical of the MI all-rounder who just couldn’t contribute for his team in the 15th edition of the IPL. Chopra opined that the team should look for youngsters and let Pollard go as the cricketer is not offering much with the ball either. These comments by Chopra may have triggered Pollard to post the tweet, however the cricketer deleted it later which confused the fans.

“I think we have seen the last of Kieron Pollard. He should go and Dewald Brevis should come in. How many chances would you give to Pollard? He has just not been scoring runs. His bowling could be useful on this surface but you wouldn’t pick him in the team for his bowling. So I think the time has come to say tata bye-bye to Pollard,” said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel.
