Ishan Kishan is currently on a break from cricket. The keeper-batsman had requested rest from the BCCI due to mental fatigue. He was last seen in Indian colors in November 2023 in a T20I against Australia. However, the cricketer was spotted partying during his rest period and was also seen spending time with former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. Amid this break, he was also featured in the reality TV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
Ishan Kishan may not get a single chance in 2024, says report
According to reports, a senior member of Team India’s management is not impressed with this situation. If a report published by journalist Abhishek Tripathi is to be believed, the member is now not in favor of giving a single chance to Ishan Kishan in 2024.
“The current team management, just because of its arrogance and politics, made Ishan Kishan sit out. Because of this Bharat was playing. A big man from the team management was telling someone that he would not play for a year. Ridiculous strategy. The country’s team is more important than your ego,” tweeted journalist Abhishek Tripathi.
#ENGvIND

In Ishan Kishan’s absence, KS Bharat was named in the Test squad, but he’s had a lukewarm series against England so far, scoring 91 runs in the first two matches. The squad for the upcoming three Test matches is yet to be announced, and it remains uncertain if Ishan Kishan will be available for selection or not.
