ICC Awards 2019 Full List: Virat Kohli Awarded With Spirit Of Cricket Award For A Special Reason: On Wednesday, International Cricket Council has announced the ICC awards for the year 2019. English player Ben Stokes found himself winning the most precious award in the 2019 list of ICC. He is awarded Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for world player of the year. Meanwhile, Australian bowler Pat Cummins and Indian opener Rohit Sharma also bagged Top prizes in Test and ODI categories respectively.
Pat Cummins is named the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year for his beautiful performance in the year 2019. He has dismissed 59 batsmen at an average of 20.13, an economy rate of 2.70 in 12 Tests he has played in 2019. And these 59 wickets in 2019 included 2 five-wicket hauls for him.
Indian opener Rohit Sharma is named the ICC ODI cricketer of the year for his destructive batting in the year 2019. In 2019, Rohit has broken up numerous records. In 2019, he has 1,490 runs at an average of 57.30 and a strike rate of 89.92 including seven centuries and six half-centuries.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli also grabbed the special award for his heart winning gesture for Steve Smith. Virat is awarded ‘Spirit of Cricket Award for his gesture towards Australia batsman Steve Smith during the India-Australia clash in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. And Indian skipper also selected as the leader of both ICC ODI and Test teams of the year.
