In what comes as a big blow to Chennai Super Kings, their marquee fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has been ruled out of the upcoming clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad, slated to be played in Hyderabad on April 5. The left-arm paceman has been an instant hit ever since joining the Yellow Army. He fit the bill perfectly and expressed himself with the ball with a truckload of confidence.
As a result, he reaped rewards for his performances. Currently, he is the leading wicket-taker in the ongoing tournament with seven wickets in three games at a bowling average of 15.14 including a four wicket haul. He registered his best bowling figures of 4/29 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chepauk in the tournament opener and was also adjudged the Man of the Match.
Why Mustafizur Rahman is ruled out for CSK’s game against SRH?
It is to be noted that Mustafizur Rahman has jetted off to Bangladesh to get his Visa-related formalities done to make sure that he can travel to the USA for the forthcoming edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, slated to be held in June. The seamer has travelled to his country to finish off the biometric process for his US visa.
While it is certain that he will be missing the upcoming CSK’s clash against SRH, he might also miss CSK’s clash against KKR on April 8. It is because once the player is done with Visa formalities, there is a waiting period before the passport is returned to the player. Reports say that the Bangladesh pacer’s appointment for the same is slated for April 4. It is practically not possible for him to feature against KKR in case there is any delay.
