Virat Kohli is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve, and during RCB’s recent clash with Delhi Capitals, the experienced campaigner made headlines for venting out his frustration. The drama unfolded when Aussie pacer Josh Hazlewood conceded 22 runs in that over.
Soon after that, Kohli looked visibly upset about something. The game shifted momentum in the 15th over, and Kohli was clearly not pleased. The veteran didn’t hold back his emotions at all. The camera zoomed in on him as he was seen having a serious conversation with Dinesh Karthik near the boundary.
Virat Kohli visibly upset with bowling changes during RCB vs DC game
It was not a usual conversation, as it was intense and full of gestures. The video clip of the same has gone viral on social media as well. The former RCB captain seemed unhappy with how things were unfolding. The bowlers were not hitting the right areas, and the field placements did not help either.
Interestingly, Kohli was not seen speaking directly to the captain, Rajat Patidar. Instead, he passed his message through Karthik, who is plying his trade as the batting coach. That caught the attention of many, including Aakash Chopra. During the broadcast, Chopra said Kohli should have spoken to Patidar directly. After all, Patidar is leading the team.
Virender Sehwag also weighed in with his point of view. He believed Kohli’s frustration actually stemmed from Hazlewood’s poor over. And rightly so—22 runs in the 15th over can flip a match upside down.

KL Rahul shines bright as DC beat RCB by 6 wickets
Talking about the game, KL Rahul played a gem of an innings to guide Delhi Capitals to a comfortable win over RCB. Stepping into bat at No. 4, the Bengaluru-born stayed unbeaten on 93 off just 53 balls. He looked calm, composed, and in total control throughout the run-chase.
The highlight of the innings was his impeccable partnership with Tristan Stubbs. The duo stitched together a 111-run partnership for the fifth wicket. On the other hand, Stubbs also played a handy knock, scoring an unbeaten 38 from 23 balls. Their productive partnership took Delhi home without any late drama.
Earlier in the match, the Bengaluru-based franchise put up 163 for 7 in their 20 overs. It looked like they were set for a bigger total, but Phil Salt’s run-out for 37 in the fourth over slowed things down. After that, Virat Kohli (22), Rajat Patidar (25), and Liam Livingstone (4) failed to steady the ship.

Thanks to Tim David, who added some much-needed runs at the end. His quickfire 37 off 20 balls helped RCB cross the 160 mark. However, DC aced the run-chase without any fuss and made it four wins in four games to go to the second spot on the points table.
Despite the loss, RCB still remain third on the points table with 6 points from 5 games. They will play against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
