Pakistan skipper Babar Azam applauded Virat Kohli’s scintillating knock which took the game away from Pakistan in the super-12 stage of the T20 World Cup.
Babar Azam was asked whether Virat’s inning was the difference between the two sides as his reply to the question was pure gold.

Even before the question was completed, Babar quickly interrupted to say, “Isliye toh match jeet gaye.”
Pakistan skipper added,“Dekhiye, struggle kar rahe the. Comeback kiya phir itni bari innings ke baad unke confidence kaafi bara hoga. Jab bhi aap ase matches jeetate hai toh woh individual ko bhi confidence milta hai.”
Babar Azam was in complete awe of Virat’s knock in the post match press conference and complimented the way Virat soaked pressure as he said, “India-Pakistan ka match main extra pressure hota hai. Usko aap jitna overcome kar sakte hai woh karein. Isiliye woh bare player hai. Early on pressure tha but usne overcome kiya. Apne innings ko build kiya and partnership banaya, mere khayal se match udhr change huya.”

Virat played a scintillating knock of 82 runs off just 53 deliveries as he kept things under control along with Hardik Pandya who played a sensible knock of 40 runs off 37 deliveries after a terrible top-order collapse.
Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya produced a 113-run partnership for the fifth wicket and took the game to the final over.
Virat’s knock against Pakistan is now been rated as his finest-ever international knock by most of the former players as the knock had a significant impact on the game.
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul failed against the Pakistan pace battery while Suryakumar Yadav and Axar Patel too were unable to contribute.
