No one from the Indian subcontinent can ever hate Yuvraj Singh. In fact, everyone in the nation loves him for he has been the primary reason for their huge success in ICC World Cups.
Centre-piece in India’s 2007 T20 WC and 2011 one-day international World Cup win, Yuvraj bid goodbye to international cricket in 2019. Yuvraj wasn’t a part of 2021 IPL either. He had retired from all forms of cricket. However, it looks like Punjab’s heartthrob will be making a cricketing comeback very soon.
Yuvraj shares comeback plans via his social media account
It hasn’t even been six hours since Yuvi shared his comeback plans via today’s Instagram post. However, the news of the sixer king’s comeback has already gone viral. Nonetheless, let us talk about the details of his latest post.
Basically, the video clip features India’s World Cup hero taking his batting stance inside his room as an unknown person approaches his door while playing with the red-colored ball. Caption goes, “It’s that time of the year. Are you ready? Do you have what it takes? I have a big surprise for you guys! Stay Tuned.”

The clip also features Yuvraj’s iconic hero honda bat getting displayed. It’s the same one he used to smack England’s Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over during the inaugural T20 World Cup. Ravi Shastri’s high-octane commentary covering the same leaves one and all nostalgic.
However, the video also features a cryptic message. Interestingly, it hints at his cricketing comeback and reads, “It’s time for my second innings.” Though the details of Yuvraj’s comeback aren’t known, fans have come up with their own theories.
Some believe that he will be making his international comeback and others feel he’ll be starting a new phase in his association with cricket. He’ll take up coaching. Yuvi is almost forty. Thus, the latter seems like the viable option. IPL auction nears and the tourney itself isn’t that far away.
However, this isn’t the first time Yuvraj has signalled at his comeback. Earlier, he had informed the fans that he’ll “be back on the pitch in February.” The Road Safety T20 Series sets off around a similar timeline. It’s highly likely he is still signalling at that. Nonetheless, one can’t rule out a coaching gig or some sort of active comeback as an all-rounder.
