The second Test of the Ashes series between England and Australia is moving towards its end and it seems like Australia will trump England once again. On Day 4 of the second Test, the English captain was hit on the groin by Mitchell Starc and it was evident from his reaction that he was in a lot of pain after the ball hit the sensitive part of his body. After the current England captain was hit on the groin, former England captain Alastair Cook trolls Joe Root.
The English team was in trouble when Joe Root came into bat on the evening of the 4th Day of the second Test. Having lost 2 wickets early, the skipper had to steady the ship for his team, however, Mitchell Starc spat fire with his bowling and troubled Root immensely. It was during his bowling spell Root was hit on the abdominal and now Alastair Cook trolls Joe Root as ‘Karma’ strikes him back.
Alastair Cook savagely trolls Joe Root
In one of the incidents in the 2015 edition of the Ashes series, Cook was hit on the groin while he was fielding in the slip cordon. Root, who was accompanying Cook in the slips laughed out loudly as Cook was seeing in pain. After the current England captain was hit on the groin, Alastair Cook trolls Joe Root as Root felt the same pain what Cook felt 6 years back.
“I would love to say what goes around comes around. But I was OK. I’ve had two children since. I don’t know how Rooty is at the moment,” said Cook jokingly to The West.
