England pace menace Jofra Archer made his long-awaited comeback to competitive cricket during the inaugural match of the SA20 League on January 10, ending his 541 days of exile from the sport.
The 27-year-old showed no signs of slowing down and clocked around 150kmph. He returned with three scalps (including that of David Miller) in his fiery spell to help MI Cape Town down Paarl Royals.
Though Jofra’s efforts were lauded by Miller, Eoin Morgan, and his Cape Town bowling coach Zaheer Khan, an Indian journalist didn’t seem to be impressed.
Jofra Archer gives a befitting response to an Indian journalist
The Barmy Army posted a photo of Jofra in England colors after his comeback match and captioned it, “How excited are you to see him back in an England shirt?”

Though most cricket fans were in good spirits over his return, Indian journalist Irfan Malik chose to joke on the matter and claimed he was not excited at all. Making fun of Jofra’s lack of fitness, Irfan tweeted, “No excitement. He may be there for 1-2 matches and rest is history”.

The move from the journalist, however, backfired. Soon enough the joke was on him as Jofra Archer dished out a epic troll to Imran.
“HERE’S THAT ATTENTION YOU ORDERED”, read the brutal meme that put the insensitive journalist in right place.

Notably, Jofra Archer suffered a lot at physical as well as mental level during his 18-month-long injury layoff that owed itself to a back fracture and elbow issues. To make fun of a serious struggle as it isn’t an ideal move at all. More so when the one being attacked is one of the best players in the world.
The aforementioned journalist was reminded of the same by some fuming fans as well.
Here are a few tweets that threw flak on the journalist:
If you not excited for @JofraArcher being back on cricket ground you are no cricket fan..leave aside to be journolist!!
