In the 12th match of this BBL season Melbourne Stars will be taking on Perth Scorchers at the Junction Oval, Melbourne. It will be the only game that the venue will be hosting in the entire season. The Junction Oval pitch is a batting friendly surface. The batters enjoy their time here as the ball comes easily onto the bat here and hence shot-making becomes easy. The pitch has a good and even bounce. The pacers may find a bit of assistance off the surface initially however once the batters are set the bowlers will have to toil hard to get breakthroughs.

It has been seen in the games at Junction Oval that the sides chasing here have struggled. Hence, any side should look to bat first after winning the toss here. A total of around 160 would be a competitive total at the Junction Oval.
