Kedar Jadhav reveals how a phone call with RCB Coach revives his IPL Career
After being unsold in the auction Kedar had no hope that he will ever return to IPL. His recent performance in the domestic circuit did catch some eyes including Sanjay Bangar’s.
In an interview, when Kedar was asked to tell who contacted him from RCB he said, “Sanjay Bhai contacted me on a phone call while I was doing commentary”
Coach Sanjay Bangar asked some basic questions to Kedar as he is very much aware of his skill set. Sanjay asked Kedar if he is practising and working on his fitness.

SRH bought Kedar Jadhav for 2cr in IPL 2021
The right-handed batter experienced a disastrous season back in the 2020 IPL for CSK. Even after his poor performance in IPL 2021 SRH showed faith in him and paid 2 Crores for him in the auction. Unfortunately, his flop show continued as he only scored 55 runs in the 6 innings which he played that season.
His game’s biggest back draw is lacking the ability to score runs at a higher pace. His strike rate has gradually decreased with each passing year.
Since IPL 2017 his strike rate has dipped from 143 to 93.93. During his time at CSK, he earned a huge amount of money. He was bought by CSK back in 2018 for a hefty amount of 7.80Cr as he was part of the Indian ODI team at that time.
He continued to play for CSK under MSD’s captaincy till IPL 2020.
