The second edition of the Legends League Cricket is set to kick off on the 16th of September with India Maharajas vs World Giants exhibition match. While the actual league will commence on September 17. This year the T20 tournament will be conducted in franchise format and the squads of 4 teams have already been announced. Four teams; India Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Manipal Tigers, and Bhilwara Kings are taking part in the 18-day long event. A total of 12 league games are to be played in 5 different venues across India while the venue for two qualifiers and the final is yet to be announced.
Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, and Irfan Pathan have been named captains of India Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Manipal Tigers, and Bhilwara Kings respectively. This league is different from the ongoing Road Safety World Series but few players are part of both tournaments.

The exhibition game and the League openers are scheduled to play at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Following this, the matches will take place in Lucknow, Delhi, Cuttack and Jodhpur while venues for Qualifier 2 and the season finale are to be decided.
