Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the match 31 of Indian Premier League 2022. This is going to be the first ever meeting between these two teams. Both the sides have won their previous matches. LSG beat Mumbai Indians (MI) with relative ease while RCB had to fight hard to earn two points against Delhi Capitals (DC).
LSG are currently second in the table behind gujrat Titans and have seemed to pick up momentum. The KL Rahul lead side is firing on all cylinders as the skipper is leading the side from the front. Rahul scored an emphatic century and is in great run of form. He is currently second in the race for the orange cap behind Jos Buttler.
RCB defeated DC in a hard fought victory. The side is lead by South African Faf Du Plesis who has managed to grind results with his new side. Veteran Dinesh Karthik is in fantastic form as he is the sides leading run scorer with 197 runs. Glenn Maxwell also scored a half century against DC and has picked up his form before crucial run of games. However every thing is not hunky Dory for RCB. Virat Kohli has not performed to the levels which he is expected and the fans will be hoping he returns to his usual best.

So far this season the DY Patil Stadium hasn’t been a high scoring venue. All the matches played so far have reached around the mark of 160-170 runs and the surface offers help to the seamers and spinners quiet a bit. The ground is relatively smaller and could play a role. Dew factor will play a crucial role as bowling in the second innings will be affected by dew. So both the captain’s would like to bowl first and then try to chase the total.
