Team India is set to take on Afghanistan in their second World Cup 2023 clash on October 11 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Ahead of the all-important game, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) admin trolled Afghanistan pacer Naveen Ul Haq who had a war of words with Virat Kohli during IPL 2023.
The Indian cricket fans were eager to witness a rematch between Virat and Naveen since then. After the verbal altercation, the two players will contest against each other for the first time in the World Cup 2023 game.
The brawl heated to an extent where other players from the LSG and RCB franchise had to intervene into the matter. Naveen had defended himself, saying that he hadn’t initiated the discussion and Virat was the one who was responsible for it.
LSG admin’s hilarious tweet to troll Naveen Ul Haq
Ahead of the IND vs AFG clash in World Cup 2023 on October 11, LSG posted a picture showing a few mango pieces on their official Twitter handle. ‘Aam kab nahi khana chaiye (When should mangoes not be eaten) ?’ was written in the posted picture.
The admin wrote ‘Aaj‘ in the caption probably highlighting the fact that Naveen Ul Haq might find it difficult to face Virat Kohli after the heated verbal battle during the IPL 2023 edition.
The hilarious tweet posted by LSG admin got viral across the social media platforms. It has already got 13.9k likes and 800 comments within 4 hours of being shared and cricket fans didn’t miss the opportunity to troll Naveen Ul Haq ahead of the important contest.
The unorthodox pacer will certainly be on the radar of the Indian cricket fans who’ll come to support Virat Kohli on his home ground in Delhi in the game against the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side.
It’s worth noting that Naveen has returned to Afghanistan’s ODI squad after a two-year gap. He wasn’t a part of their team during the Asia Cup 2023 and in the recently concluded 3-match ODI series against Pakistan.
The likes of experienced pacer Karim Janat and seam bowling all-rounder Gulbadin Naib were excluded from the 15-member squad for the marquee tournament. While the selectors decided to pick Naveen Ul Haq for his unconventional bowling skills.
