The IPL 2022 season was quite successful for the new franchise Lucknow Super Giants. In their debut season, the KL Rahul-led side ended the league table at the no.3 position. However, the jersey of LSG was criticized by fans. The cyan-colored jersey was new to the league, but the kit’s design let fans’ hopes down. Now, for IPL 2023 season, Lucknow Super Giants have unveiled a new jersey. But again, LSG fans are not impressed with it.
Fans troll Lucknow Super Giants’ New Jersey
After just one season, the franchise discarded the cyan color and chose the dark blue color. The main color of the new Lucknow Super Giants jersey is blue with orange and green shades. Sharing the first pics of the new kit, LSG’s Twitter handle wrote, “Naya rang, naya josh, nayi umeed, naya andaaz. (New colors, new enthusiasm, new hope, new style.)”
Today, the jersey was launched by the owner of LSG Sanjiv Goenka, and BCCI secretary Jay Shah. Captain of the team KL Rahul and mentor Gautam Gambhir were also present at the event. In another post on Twitter, Lucknow Super Giants shared the specification of the new jersey.

Many negative reactions from fans popped up after the launch. Some Twitter users called it a copy of the Delhi Capitals’ 2010 jersey. While some feel that the big ‘My11Circle’ logo has ruined the look of the t-shirt. Some fans even called it a downgrade as the previous jersey’s cyan color was unique but IPL has already seen many blue kits. Here are some reactions from fans.
