Washington Freedom defeated Texas Super Kings by 6 runs in the MLC 2023 game on July 17 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. In the Washington Freedom vs Texas Super Kings clash all-rounder Dwayne Bravo smashed the biggest six in Major League Cricket that went out of the park after it covered a distance of 106 meters.
The Texas Super Kings side was in a spot of bother as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals while chasing a target of 164 runs. Experienced all-rounder Dwayne Bravo then decided to take the responsibility on his shoulders and played a stellar knock for his side.

The Caribbean all-rounder came in to bat in the 9th over after the dismissal of Lahiru Milantha. The TSK side was placed at a score of 50-5 and the Washington Freedom team was in total control of the game courtesy of some brilliant bowling right from the word go.
Dwayne Bravo started on a cautious note while Mitchell Santner kept playing some aggressive shots from the other end. After the dismissal of Santner, Bravo changed gears as his side needed some quick runs.
On the second delivery of the 18th over, pacer Anrich Nortje tried a short pitch delivery angling into the batter. Bravo was quick on to his shot and pulled it out of the park for a 106-meter maximum which was also the biggest six in Major League Cricket.

The experienced all-rounder fought for the TSK side right till the last delivery of the MLC 2023 clash as they needed 27 runs off the last over. Bravo smashed 20 runs off the last six deliveries but couldn’t help his side chase down the target.
The Texas Super Kings side fell short by 6 runs in their second MLC 2023 game. Bravo remained unbeaten after playing a breathtaking knock of 76 runs off just 39 deliveries including 5 fours and 6 maximums.
The brilliant bowling display by the Washington Freedom lineup helped them grab their first victory in the tournament. Marco Jansen and Akeal Hosein bowled exceptionally well and scalped a couple of wickets each while Saurabh Netravalkar too bowled a brilliant spell.
