Major League Cricket (MLC) 2026 announced its arrival on June 18. It promises a full month of fast-paced T20 cricket in the United States, and as many as six teams will compete in 34 matches. The league will come to an end on July 18.
Fans from India, the US, the UK, and other countries can follow the action through live TV and streaming partners in their regions. In India, digital platforms will carry the matches, while viewers in the US and UK will also get full coverage through local broadcasters and streaming services.
The league once again brings together six well-known franchises: MI New York, Texas Super Kings, Los Angeles Knight Riders, Seattle Orcas, Washington Freedom, and San Francisco Unicorns. These teams don’t just rely on overseas stars anymore. They also include young American players who are slowly finding their place in high-level cricket.
Big international names will still drive the attention. Players like Nicholas Pooran, Faf du Plessis, Steve Smith, Jason Holder, Marcus Stoinis, and Matthew Short will feature throughout the season, and fans will expect them to set the tone.
MLC 2026 also spreads itself across three major venues. Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas remains the main ground, but California gets more action this time with two new venues—the Oakland Coliseum and the Knight Riders Cricket Field in Pomona. The final will take place in Oakland, adding extra excitement to the closing stage of the tournament.
With better stadiums, stronger squads, and wider broadcast reach, MLC continues to grow every year. It now feels like a league that is building real momentum in a country still learning to fully embrace cricket.
