Narendra Modi Stadium T20 pitch report and records
It will be the first time that an International limited-overs match will be held in Motera stadium after the renovation. But many ODI matches and 1 T20 match have been played on the ground before. The curators of Ahmedabad ground have always created batting-friendly pitches. And in the upcoming series, we can expect a flood of runs.
The only T20 match at the venue was played back in 2012 when India and Pakistan met in a bilateral series for the one last time. India had posted 192 on the board while Pakistan gave a tough fight during the chase. However, the visitors fell 12 runs short of the target as they could score 181 in 20 overs. So chasing in this venue will not be difficult if the target is below 160.
So the pitch report of Narendra Modi Stadium says that a team will look to bowl first after winning the toss during the T20 series. Spinners might play a key role during India vs England t20 series. However, we can expect high-scoring matches during the 5 matches.
