February 2025 will witness the biggest cricket match of the year. India and Pakistan will face off in the Champions Trophy 2025. Every India-Pakistan clash comes with its share of hype, and to double this excitement, Netflix is set to release a documentary on the cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan ahead of this mega clash.
Netflix’s The Greatest Rivalry To Be Released on February 7
On January 13, Netflix India announced this documentary through its social media handles. Titled The Greatest Rivalry, it is set to release on February 7. The documentary’s poster features an iconic photo of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag walking out to bat against Pakistan during the 2003 World Cup, with the Pakistan team huddling in the background.
India has maintained a dominant record against Pakistan in World Cups, with a 14-1 lead across both ODI and T20 World Cups. This documentary is expected to highlight India’s legacy in these high-stakes encounters. Over the years, these clashes have also featured iconic individual rivalries.

Such as Venkatesh Prasad vs Aamer Sohail in the 1996 World Cup, Sachin Tendulkar vs Shoaib Akhtar in the 2003 World Cup, Shahid Afridi and Gautam Gambhir’s heated exchange in the 2007 T20 World Cup, and most recently, Virat Kohli’s back-to-back sixes off Haris Rauf in the 2022 T20 World Cup. All these moments are likely to be highlighted in Netflix’s The Greatest Rivalry documentary.
This documentary will be released two weeks before the India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 clash. India and Pakistan are set to face off in Dubai on February 23 in this mega encounter. Pakistan has held the upper hand over India in the Champions Trophy history.
