Not long ago, he raised concerns about India’s middle-order department owing to injuries, where he reckons that the problems surrounding the middle-order aren’t fixed yet. According to the 2011 World Cup winner, if Rohit Sharma and Co don’t fix the leaks and voids, then they might not be the favourites for the marquee event. He expressed his frustration with India not winning a World Cup for a long time.

He was one of the greatest match-winners for the team during the heydays of his cricketing business.
