39-year old former Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh, is all set to come out of his retirement very soon. If India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World CupC win owe themselves to someone, it’s Yuvraj. During the 2007 T20 World Cup, Yuvraj smashed World’s fastest fifty off just 12 balls. He also smoked a lighting seventy odd against Australia during the same tournament.
In the 2011 World Cup, the southpaw battled cancer throughout and kept the information to himself. However, he still won the Man Of The Tournament award in that event. So, when the ‘Sixer King’ announced his cricketing comeback, cricketing fans across the world were meant to be shook. Actually, they are.
Yuvraj Singh comes out of retirement on public demand
At 3 AM in the morning, November 2, Yuvraj Singh uploaded a video on Instagram. It featured Yuvraj’s breathtaking hundred-and-fifty run knock against England, which came in 2017. The caption comprised the beautiful information of Yuvraj’s comeback, which will be dated around 2022 February. “God decides your destiny !! On public demand, i’ll be back on the pitch hopefully in February! Ain’t nothing like this feeling! Thank you for your love and wishes mean a lot to me! Keep supporting ?? It’s our team and a true fan will show his or her support in tough times,” read the post’s caption. Here’s the post itself.
While his die-hard fans believe that the video marks his international comeback, that claim may not be true. Yes, he uploaded a video of his international hundred, but that doesn’t verify that his comeback will be on an international scale.
Yuvraj Singh has said that he will return around February 2022 and Road Safety T20 Series takes place near the same time of the year. So, it’s highly likely that he’ll come out of his retirement just for that. Regardless, it’ll no less of a treat, and fans would expect Vintage Yuvi to turn up once again, just like he did in Road Safety’s last edition, smashing sixes for fun.
