Former speedster Shoaib Akhtar is going to make his OTT debut with a chit-chat special that will see him host renowned celebrities from all over Pakistan.
The Rawalpindi Express, applauded by all for his communication skills and humor, will put it all into the system for THE SHOAIB AKHTAR SHOW that is expected to air on Urduflix February 13 (Friday) onwards.
It appears the inaugural episode from the former cricket star’s show will feature HUM TUM fame Pakistan Television actress Nida Yasir and hostess Shaista Lodhi.
Nida fails to answer a simple cricket question on THE SHOAIB AKHTAR SHOW; gets mocked
To build up hype for the upcoming show, a clip from (presumably) its first episode has been released. The clip features Nida Yasir being dumbfounded by a straightforward, and a rather mocking cricketing question from Shoaib.
“Tell me this Nida. In which year did Pakistan win the 92′ (1992) WC?”.
Unsure about the reply, Nida Yasir can be seen discussing the potential answer with Shaista, who tells her the obvious answer (1992).
Shoaib Akhtar, however, then changes the question and asks Nida to instead tell him when did they lift the 2009 Twenty-20 World Cup, to which Nida replies, “1992”.

For the unversed, Pakistan Cricket’s two World Cup wins of in 1992 (ODI) and 2009 (T20I) had come under the captaincy of Imran Khan and Younis Khan respectively. The Men in Green are also the current holder of the Champions Trophy, having won its 2017 edition at the expense of India.
Though it is possible the aforementioned section is a staged one, netizens have hopped on the matter, labelling Nida dumb.
Here are a few hilarious tweets poking fun at the actress:

Notably, her comment at the upcoming Shoaib Akhtar special are not the first one to land her in a spot of shame. In 2016, Nida Yasir had messed up while acting as an anchor as she didn’t know what a FORMULA 1 car was.
