There was a time when tri-series were a common feature in cricket. The Commonwealth Series, hosted by Cricket Australia, used to involve three teams in an ODI format and was very popular among fans. However, it was discontinued after the 2014-15 season, and since then, few cricket boards have shown interest in men’s tri-series. Now, the Pakistan Cricket Board is eager to revive this tradition.
