Pakistan Cricket Board chief Ramiz Raja was recently in the news as he had highlighted the fact that Virat Kohli’s 71st international hundred was celebrated in India but the same doesn’t happen in Pakistan.
Now, A Pakistani news anchor has given a befitting reply to Ramiz’s comment.
The PCB chief wanted the Pakistan media and fans to support their team in the same way as the Indian media and fans do.
He argued that Team India and Kohli were cheered by the fans even though they failed to reach the final of the Asia Cup.
Pakistan News Anchor’s bold response to Ramiz’s comment
Responding to what Ramiz had said while drawing comparisons with the Indian cricket team, an anchor on Samaa TV said,” That is because Kohli hadn’t scored his 71st (international) century for three years. Or else it wouldn’t have been that important.”
Ramiz responded to the anchor saying,” What are you talking about? Four of his catches in that match were dropped, that too against a team like Afghanistan. And my point is that, if a Pakistani batter scores a century why isn’t it run in that fashion in the media?”
The anchor counter-argued and said, “Unn chaar catches chootne ko toh main kudrat ka nizam kahungi (I would call those four dropped catches as laws of nature) because this ‘kudrat ka nizam’ is very famous these days.”

The term ‘kudrat ka nizam’ was recently used by Pakistan’s head coach Saqlain Mushtaq after their loss to England in the recently concluded T20I series. Apparently, it looks like the anchor mocked their head coach too with her words.

The PCB chief has got some criticism recently as he brings Indian cricket into his conversations, time and again just to put more weightage to his logics.
