Recently, the 31-year-old cricketer appeared on a talk show. Amir didn’t make any controversy here, however, host of the show poked fun at the current Indian Captain in a distasteful manner. Pakistan TV host mocks Rohit Sharma alongside Mohammad Amir
Geo News, a leading media channel in Pakistan, airs a talk show named ‘Hasna Mana Hai’. Stand-up comedian Tabish Hashmi hosts this show and Mohammad Amir was featured in a recent episode. In a fun challenge, Amir was asked to guess the things that appeared on the screen while being blindfolded.
As Rohit Sharma’s picture was displayed on the screen, the audience gave a huge cheer. As we know, Amir and Rohit have been involved in banter in the past. This was the reason showrunners selected Rohit Sharma’s picture. Host Tabish Hashmi turned the moment cringe-worthy as he gave distasteful hints to the Pakistan bowler.
When Amir asked the host if he is retired or still active. The host joked, ‘He is still playing but it feels like he has retired’. To which Amir responds, ‘I think it’s me’. The host again made a comment which didn’t go well with Indian fans. ‘it’s not you. If you were there, he would never have stood a chance’.
Then he mocked Rohit Sharma saying, ‘He loves vada pav’. It seemed like Amir had already guessed the correct answer but took his time as he was playing along. He finally answered it when finding out he is a right-handed opening batter for the Indian Cricket Team.
