Neighbour-cum-rivals India and Pakistan are set to play against each other, come tomorrow evening. The clash will serve as both side’s tournament opener. It is not an unknown fact that the contest between these two sides always has the experts blabbering.. Especially those who belong to either of the two asian sides.

As it goes, a lot Indian experts have had their say ahead of the much awaited clash. Be it Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Aakash Chopra, or someone else, most of them are supporting the men in blue. However, Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir feels Pakistan have a fair chance of coming out on top.

Mohammad Amir has his say on India vs Pakistan clash

Well, Amir thinks so. Appearing on a show named ‘Uncut,’ Amir stated that one can’t really predict a winner for a T20 game. It’s too unpredictable for anybody to judge a T20 game beforehand. Pakistan has never beaten India in T20 World Cup’s history, but that doesn’t mean Pakistan is bound to lose yet again, feels Amir. Here’s what he had to say:

“To be honest, you can’t really predict much in T20 cricket. As far as India vs Pakistan is concerned… One can say that India are unbeaten against Pakistan until now. But you can’t really decide anything in a T20 match.”

More so, Mohammad Amir feels that Pakistan’s batting lineup is better than their arch-nemesis’. According to Amir, it’s not India’s batting competing against the green team’s bowling this time around. Rather, it’s a batting shoot-out: “India vs Pakistan is always a pressure game. Babar is leading Pakistan and is performing very well, it is a plus point for Pakistan.

His pairing with Rizwan is doing well(at the top of the order.) So, Pakistan’s batting is not doing too badly. Earlier, we used to say that it was about Pakistan’s bowling up against India’s batting. But as of now, I think Pakistan’s batting appears slightly stronger(than India’s) because Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were struggling in the IPL. So they’ll be under a bit of pressure,” Amir opined.

Before signing off, Amir did end up admitting that the India side holds a
60-40 edge over Pakistan. Indian players have a better idea of what the pitches will play like since they’ve recently played IPL on the very same grounds. Or so feels Mohammad Amir.
