Chennai Super Kings had an abysmal IPL 2022 season as they ended up on the 9th position with only 8 points to their name. Apart from their disappointing performance on the field, the team went through a huge captaincy turmoil which dented the relationship between CSK & Ravindra Jadeja. Now, if reports are to be believed, Jadeja would no longer be a part of the CSK setup after the captaincy fiasco that transpired during the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
CSK & Ravindra Jadeja could part ways
MS Dhoni was relieved from his services as the captain just before CSK was going to play their first game of the 2022 season. The move by the CSK management startled the fans and the analysts alike after it was decided that Jadeja will now be captaining the side. While the fans hoped for a rejuvenated start to Jadeja’s captaincy career in IPL, what transpired on the field turned the relationship between CSK & Ravindra Jadeja sour.
After a poor performance on the field, Jadeja decided to relinquish his captaincy role after some matches and MS Dhoni was reinstated in the role. After CSK was well and truly eliminated from the playoffs race and Jadeja left the team midway citing some health issues. Since then, CSK & Ravindra Jadeja has been out of touch and has made no contact.
As per the reports, this is an indication of the end of the road for CSK & Ravindra Jadeja together. Though the franchise has never agreed to a rift between the management and Jadeja, it has been clear from Jadeja’s actions that all is not well between the two. The Indian all-rounder has neglected each and everything related to CSK ever since he left the IPL season midway which only points to one conclusion.

It is to be seen how the all-rounder will make his way out of the franchise that he has represented for a decade. Jadeja became a part of the franchise in the year 2012 and since then has been an integral part of the team. Though things between CSK & Ravindra Jadeja have gone downhill this year, it can’t be denied that Jadeja is an extremely important asset for the team and they may make efforts to retain him for the next season of the Indian Premier League.
