There are so many things which have brought the Indian Cricket Team into the news, but amongst them all, the biggest reason is Virat Kohli whose poor form across formats has put him under the scanner. Team India is currently touring England for 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs where Kohli failed yet again to contribute to the team. If reports are to be believed, Virat Kohli is going to miss England ODIs and will only come back in the team in the Asia Cup.
Virat Kohli to miss England ODIs
Team India thrashed England in the first ODI by 10 wickets and it is to note that Virat Kohli wasn’t part of the Playing XI in the first ODI. According to the latest reports, the former Indian captain is going to miss the remainder of the ODI series against England, the upcoming West Indies tour and also the Zimbabwe tour after that. The right-handed batsman is only going to return for the Asia Cup now.
Team India’s tour of West Indies is starting from 22nd July where team India will lock horns with the Caribbean team in 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. Though the official announcement of the squad for the tour hasn’t come yet, as per the reports, the pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli will be rested for the T20I series against West Indies. The china-man bowler Kuldeep Yadav is reported to make a comeback to the squad.

While Virat Kohli has been rested for the whole West Indies tour, Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the T20 series only. It is to note that Kohli will still be in contention for the upcoming Asia Cup in August and T20 World Cup in October. Interestingly, the team management and selectors are positive about Kohli’s performance and are still going to back him.
