The Indian Wicket-Keeper Batsman, Dinesh Karthik who later took up the task of cricket commentary is hopeful to return to the Indian side. After the current Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant tested positive for the Covid virus, he’s been in isolation. The 2nd wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha is also in quarantine due to him coming in contact with Dayanand Garani, a support staff member, who caught the virus as well.
Rishabh Pant had previously attended a match of EURO 2020. His mask-less pictures, which he posted on his social media went viral. Rishabh also received some heat from his fans who said that Pant’s being careless.
Twitterati Buzzing about Rishabh Pant and DK
With both the wicket-keepers currently unavailable to play, various sorts of memes are being circulated on Twitter, mainly on Rishabh Pant and DK. One Twitter user posted a video that showed WWE star Booker T commentating. Soon Booker gets up to remove his blazer and jumps into the wrestling ring.
The video was posted in relation to the current situation of the Indian cricket team. Rishabh Pant and Saha both being unavailable right now, DK is the only specialist Wicketkeeper who is in England. KL Rahul who is not a regular WK might not be the appropriate option to keep the wickets in England.
Dinesh Karthik reacted to the post hailing the sense of humour of the Twitterati. DK wrote, “Hahaha …. It’s good to see the twitter having a sense of humour too”. The veteran keeper is surely loving the fans talking about him coming back into the side amid his commentary stint.

DK even previously signified his knowledge of Rishabh pant being in quarantine. He posted a picture of his cricket kit a few days back when the news of Rishabh Pant contracting the virus initially came out.

For now, the five-match test series between India and England is yet to start. The series gets underway from the 4th of August at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. As there’s still time for the series to start, most likely both the Indian wicket-keepers will be fit and out of quarantine by then.
Although Kohli and Co. lost the WTC final, they would still be backing themselves to win the test series against England. Whereas the English men would be looking forward to taking some revenge from the Indian troops. Being the home team, England would start the series as the favourites.
