The whole cricket fraternity is keenly praying for Rishabh Pant’s speedy recovery after he met with the horrible car accident on December 30. Things looked pretty tough after watching the video clips of his accident that had gone viral just after the news broke out. However, to everyone’s delight, his knee surgery has been successfully undertaken by the team of doctors in the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
“Rishabh will undergo surgery and subsequent procedures for ligament tears and will continue to be monitored by the BCCI Medical Team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation,” the BCCI said in an official statement.
“The Board will make every effort to aid and expedite the recovery process of Rishabh and will provide him with all the support he needs during this period,” the statement read.
Pant will undergo the recovery process under direct supervision of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, Head of the Centre for Sports Medicine as the BCCI understands how crucial it is to look after Pant’s major injury that can have a long-term impact on his cricket career and at no cost they can take any risk during the surgery process.
