In an unfortunate turn of events, rumours surrounding the death of Pakistan bowler Irfan Khan have been making the news. However, the lanky pacer has denied the rumours completely and appealed to the people to stop spreading such news about him. Irfan took to social media in reaching out to people and confirming that the news of his death was nothing but fake.
Irfan Rubbishes Rumours
Irfan was upset when he learnt of the news and its effect on him, his family members as also his friends. The disturbed cricketer assured he was all fine through his twitter account. He tweeted, ‘Some social media outlets have been spreading a baseless fake news about my death in a car accident. This has disturbed my family & friends beyond words, and I have been receiving endless calls on this. Please refrain from such things. There was no accident and we are well.’ He also expressed of how disturbing it was to handle the whole situation with the endless calls he kept getting after the news was out.

It was on Sunday that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had reported the death of deaf cricketer who went by the same name as Mohammad Irfan. This could have been the confusion that led to rumours about Mohammad Irfan (the pacer). The deaf cricketer was battling a stomach illness.
