ICC Women T20 World Cup 2020 is currently at its apex stage. Meanwhile, on Friday, during the 11th match of the ongoing World Cup (SA W vs THA W) 2020, South African Laura Wolvaardt took a stunning catch to dismiss Thailand skipper Sornnarin Tippoch. With this effort from Wolvaardt, South Africa almost made their way easy for the semi-finals by dismissing top 4 batters inside 20 runs.
It all happened on the first delivery of the sixth over when N Mlaba bowled a full toss ball to Sornnarin Tippoch. The Thailand batswoman chips the ball towards the offside, earlier the ball was looking to go between the gap. However, Laura puts in a full-length dive to stick the ball in her hand. It was a magnificent effort from the South African player.

Earlier in the match, after winning the toss South Africa women opted to bat first at Manuka Oval in Canberra. Meanwhile, in the first innings, South Africa scored 195-3 at the end of the 20 overs. From South Africa opener Lizelle Lee scored 101 off just 60 balls with the help of 16 boundaries and 3 sixes.
In the reply, Thailand women could manage to score only 82 before getting all out in the last over. From Thailand, only Onnicha Kamchomphu could score 20+ as she scored 26 off 21 balls. Lizelle Lee awarded with Player of the Match for her extra ordinary innings of 101.
