Shaheen Shah Afridi made waves when he finished with figures of 6/35 in a World Cup match against Bangladesh. The speedster made his international debut for Pakistan in April 2018 and has been an integral part of the team since then. The left-arm fast bowler made his Test debut the same year in December. He is making the headlines now and that’s not because of his bowling, but due to a piece of news about his personal life.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was earlier in the news as the rumour of his engagement with Shahid Afridi’s daughter Aqsa surfaced and made its way to the fans. It was also reported by a news channel in March 2021 that the bowler’s family had sent the proposal and it was accepted by Shahid Afridi’s family. There were speculations about the relationship between the two families and all those speculations have now been put to rest by none other than the former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi.
Shaheen Shah Afridi set to marry Shahid Afridi’s daughter
The fans have heard the news straight from the horse’s mouth as Shahid Afridi declared that both the families are indeed going ahead with Shaheen Shah Afridi and his eldest daughter Aqsa’s wedding. While making the grand announcement, Afridi also clarified that Shaheen Shah Afridi and his daughter were not involved in any romantic relationship prior to the talks amongst both the families.
Shahid Afridi even clarified that both the families belong to different tribes. The wedding dates have not been finalized yet as currently both Shaheen’s and Aqsa’s focal point is their career. Shahid Afridi’s daughter is yet to decide on whether she wants to study in Pakistan or England.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shahid Afridi have known each other for quite some time as they both play for Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans respectively in the Pakistan Super League.
