The Men in Blue on October 11 beat SA to complete a come-from-behind 2-1 series win in the 3-match ODI series against them. Following the series victory, Shikhar Dhawan and several other Indian Players enjoyed themselves while dancing to the tune of ‘Bolo Ta Ra Ra Ra’.
Dhawan who led Team India in the absence of some big names shared a clip on his Instagram where he was seen dancing his heart out with fellow team members.
Shreyas Iyer, Md. Siraj, Rahul Tripathi, Kuldeep Yadav, and almost all others danced wildly alongside Shikhar Dhawan on Daler Mahedi’s evergreen number.
Notably, Dhawan was the one who taught other players the steps to perform.
Former Indian Test great VVS Laxman, who served as the stand-in coach for the IND-SA series also shared the wholesome video on his Twitter account.

Brilliant camaraderie among the boys, great to watch. Bolo Tara Ra ra#INDvSA pic.twitter.com/BYqk14cXbd— VVS Laxman (@VVSLaxman281) October 11, 2022
Shikhar Dhawan and his barren run of form in the series
Though the veteran opener was in full flow during the post-match celebrations, the case was much different at the crease.
In a series that gave Team India several positives including Shreyas Iyer and Samson’s consistent returns and Siraj (5 for 104) getting better, the dip in the Skipper’s form was an alarm.
Shikhar Dhawan failed to cross the 20-run mark in each of the three games, scoring just 25 runs in total at an average of 8.3 runs per dismissal.
His struggles again left-arm pace came to light again as Wayne Parnell ripped through his defences 2 game in a row while he was run out in yesterday’s series decider.
Shikhar Dhawan has been the most consistent ODI batter in ICC tournaments for Team India. He also compliments Rohit Sharma very well at the top of the order.
However, if his struggles continue in the near future and Shubman Gill keeps giving promising returns, the situation might be stiff for the 2023 ODI World Cup.
