Team Australia is dominating the first Test against Sri Lanka in the 2-match Test series taking place in the Asian country. The Aussie bowlers wrapped up the Sri Lankan batting line-up on the first day itself and their batsmen then did the talking with their bats. Pat Cummins’ monstrous six came in the 69th over of the Australian inning where the debutant Jeffrey Vandersay was taken on by the Aussie skipper. Cummins ruthlessly hit a boundary and two sixes, one of which was hit off the last delivery and landed on the road outside the stadium. It was surely a sight to watch for the fans as Cummins’ quickfire 26 propelled Australia to take a lead over a hundred runs.
The Australian team was all-out on 321 runs taking a lead of 109 runs which proved to be too steep for the Asian team. Sri Lankan team fell like a house of cards in the second inning and were bundled up on just 113 runs, leaving an insignificant target of 5 runs with plenty of time in the match for the Aussies. Sri Lanka never looked they were in the match and that resulted in an easy victory for the Aussies. With the win, the Aussies have gone 1-0 up in the 2-match series.
