The Sunrisers Hyderabad has had disastrous seasons in the past 3 years of the IPL. They have been constantly releasing a bundle of players from their squad every year. Following their previous rituals they are likely to release around 5 players from their current squad as well ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction.
Sunrisers have been doing a lot of chopping and changing in their team from coaching staff to players. The last 3 years have been miserable in the IPL for SRH as they finished 8th in the 2021 and 2022 IPL followed by 10th in the latest edition.
The IPL 2024 Auction will come up with a new hope for the SRH management as they will be releasing a few players who underperformed and in return would like to buy players on which they can rely.

In their recent Twitter post, they posted a photo of one of the most popular cricket games ‘EA Cricket 2007’ in which Sunrisers’s current squad’s roster was shown. However, there were 5 names missing from the squad which has ignited the rumour of those players being released in the upcoming IPL auction.
Akeal Hosien, Anmolpreet Singh, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Upendra Yadav, and Samarth Vyas are the five players who have been axed from the SRH squad they posted as an EA Cricket game roster.
5 players who are likely to be released from the SRH squad
1. Akeal Hosien – The West Indian spin bowling all-rounder has only played a single game in the IPL for SRH. He scored 16 runs in that match and took 1 wicket but leaked 40 runs in his spell of that only game he played.
2. Anmolpreet Singh – The 25-year-old batter played only 4 matches of the IPL 2023 for SRH in which he scored 105 runs combined. He was bought by SRH in IPL 2023 season only for Rs. 20 Lakh.
3. Nitish Kumar Reddy – The 20-year-old young batting allrounder only got to play 2 matches in the IPL 2023 where he didn’t even get a chance to bat. However, he did get the opportunity to bowl but the player gave a lot of runs.
4. Upendra Yadav – The player is yet to make his debut in the IPL.
5. Samarth Vyas – The 27-year-old allrounder has not played a single game in the IPL.
