MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina are two names of Indian cricket that are etched in every fan’s memory. Both the cricketers have done a lot for their national team, especially Dhoni who has been the most successful captain as far as the ICC tournaments are concerned. Suresh Raina is very close to Dhoni and every cricket lover is well aware of their camaraderie. In a recent interview, Raina spoke from heart about his skipper.
They share such a bond that when Dhoni decided to hang up the boots, Suresh Raina followed his CSK skipper and declared the same. Raina has even gone on to say that he won’t play the Indian Premier League (IPL) if Dhoni stops playing the tournament. Raina is the third-highest run scorer in the history of IPL and is adamant that he won’t be playing for any franchise without Dhoni.
Suresh Raina opens up about his relationship with Dhoni
Suresh Raina even opened up about when Dhoni scolded him for dropping a catch. In an interview with RJ Raunac No-Po, the left-handed batsman was asked whether he has ever been scolded by Dhoni, to which the cricketer answered in affirmative. Raina said that it has mostly happened on-field when the duo played together.
He said that during a match, Dhoni asked him to be ready for a catch and the catch came instantly. The ex-Indian cricketer also shared Dhoni’s favourite dialogue which is to never give up till the end. In his career, Dhoni has lived up to his dialogue as he took the games right to the wire and won a lot of them for the team.

As for the duo, they will soon be seen playing together in the second leg of IPL which is going to take place in UAE from September 19. CSK is on second position with 10 points in 7 matches and are looking in very good form, unlike the previous season where they ended up on 7th position.
