The 6IXTY CRICKET is a ten-over tournament that is going to be held in the Caribbean today (August 24) onwards. Sporting new cricket quirks of its own, The 6IXTY CRICKET can be followed in India as well, and the Live Telecast details of the league can be found in this article.
Tournament Details and Rules
THE 6IXTY CRICKET, largely inspired by the icon stature of Chris Gayle in T20 cricket is going to be a 6-team tournament for its inaugural season.
Namely, they are Jamaica Tallawahs, Barbados Royals, St. Lucia Kings, Trinbago Knight Riders, St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots, and the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
The group stage will extend from August 24 to 27 and the top 4 teams at the end of it are going to play the semi-finals on 28. The winners of the two semis will then square off in THE 6IXTY finale that will be Live Telecast on the 29th of August (India Date).
There are some particular rules as well. For starters, there’ll be a MYSTERY FREE-HIT at a random stage decided by an audience poll and the batter will not be declared out on it.
Moreover, 5 back-to-back overs will have to be bowled from one bowling end (round/over the wicket) and the other 5 from the other end.
Hitting two or more sixes within the first 12 balls will activate the third PowerPlay for the batting side.
The 6IXTY Live Telecast & Streaming Details in India
The live streaming and telecast of THE 6IXTY tournament in India are exclusive to the FanCode application and website. The subscription for the app costs 99 rupees per month.
In the Men and Women 6IXTY tournaments combined, 4 matches will take place every day except the finals on 29 August.
The games will begin at 7:30 PM, 10:00 PM, 12:30 A.M. and 3:00 A.M. Indian Standard Time (IST) respectively.
As we told earlier, the Live Telecast and Streaming of THE 6IXTY 2022 in India is limited to the FanCode app. No television channel is going to broadcast it.
