The last leg of The Hundred is in full flow as the top teams are fighting hard to make it to the finals. A month-long tournament of its kind is coming to an end on 21st August and the fans are hoping for a full blast. Birmingham Phoenix has already secured its place in the finals of the inaugural edition of The Hundred. In the 31st match, a rib-tickling incident occurred as a fan got too excited and tumbled over the empty seats.
The 31st match of The Hundred between Northern Superchargers and Birmingham Phoenix turned out to be a one-sided clash as the Birmingham Phoenix outplayed David Willey led Northern Superchargers. The Superchargers set a decent target of 144 for the Phoenix, however, the Phoenix captain Liam Livingstone led by example and scored a quickfire 92 and made light work of the target given by their competitors.
The Hundred witnesses a light moment
Livingstone only consumed 40 deliveries for his fantastic unbeaten knock of 92 laced with 3 boundaries and 10 massive hits. Apart from the lightning knock by Livingstone, there was one hilarious moment in the match that became the highlight. The moment occurred while Livingstone was hitting them out of the park. One of the fans tried to grab a catch and, in a bid to do so tumbled over the empty seats in front of him.
Great night of entertainment again in #TheHundred
Only thing better than all of Liam Livingstone’s sixes have been the crowd catches at Headingley. Catch of the night here 👇🏻 pic.twitter.com/6oTte47nxp

Watch Video: Rohit Sharma’s spectacular catch on the last ball of the Lord’s Test goes unnoticed
What was brilliant about the incident was that the fan didn’t drop the ball even as he fell over the seats and that made for a brilliant and hilarious moment of the match. The video has been doing rounds on the internet and people are hailing the man who didn’t let the ball go. Just when he was expressing his happiness, his phone popped out of his pocket, but he saved it as well from falling. It was certainly a light moment in the match which was dominated by Birmingham Phoenix.
The final of The Hundred will be played on 21st August in Lord’s London.
