Currently, the Indian cricket team is experimenting with team selection. After 3rd T20 against South Africa, Virat Kohli said the team is willing to get out of the comfort zone so team can be able to win in difficult situations. Also, he said the management is experimenting in team selections. New faces are getting chances so the team can get the best combination for the T20 World Cup 2020.
Ganguly’s Advice To Virat Kohli
However, former left-handed batsman Sourav Ganguly is not quite happy with these experiments in the T20 team. Ganguly feels India doesn’t need two left-arm off-spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Krunal Pandya. He wants Virat Kohli to bring back Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav who have missed last two T20 series.

Ganguly wrote in his column for Times Of India, “This is a good team but Virat needs to bring back the wrist spinners into this format. I hope Yuzvendra Chahal has only been rested to give opportunity to others, or else he is a must for India in the T20 format”
Ganguly feels both the wrist spinners should play the 2020 T20 World Cup. Both have performed exceptionally when playing together while off-spinners have not been able to take wickets consistently.
However, on the exclusion of both wrist spinners, Virat had said that they are looking to extend the batting line-up. That’s why the team is playing with 3-4 all-rounders. Virat Kohli said, “The increased depth in batting was one of the reasons behind Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal’s exclusion. Also, we wanted to give opportunities to the guys who have done well over the last couple of years in domestic cricket and in IPL. It is about finding the best balance in the combination and not just sticking to only one combination,”
