Team India is in command of the things in the 2nd test match against England in Lord’s. After a brilliant first day, where the Indian Opener KL Rahul scored a brilliant century, team India went on to increase their total to 364 runs on the second day before they were bowed out by the English bowlers. KL Rahul top-scored for India in the first innings with a knock of 129 runs. Rohit Sharma as well played a good knock of 83 runs. James Anderson was successful in scalp yet another fifer.
While everything was going fine for team India in the 2nd test, the DRS calls were only occasions when the team had to suffer embarrassment. While it was annoying for the team, some fans found it hilarious.
Unsuccessful reviews
Mohammed Siraj, who was bowling brilliantly on Day 2 also became the reason for the early loss of 2 reviews. India lost 2 of their reviews on Siraj’s bowling within just 23 overs of the 2nd innings. Siraj who had just grabbed two wickets in successive balls convinced Virat Kohli to review and the captain went on to review after initial hesitation. The review eventually was lost.
It was yet again in Siraj’s next over when a similar situation came. This time around the ball hit Root’s left pad and team India went up appealing for the wicket. Michael Gough turned down the appeal yet again. Siraj again went on to urge for the review from his captain. Virat seemed unsure and couldn’t get any concrete conclusion from the wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Hesitatingly, Virat went on to review it yet again. Though it was seen just after Virat took the review that Rishabh Pant tried to stop Virat from reviewing it. But it was a bit too late as the review was taken by then.
Kohli was seen lashing out on Pant after losing the review yet again.

Siraj’s brilliant bowling
Despite being the reason for the lost reviews, Mohammed Siraj was the highlight of the 2nd day for India as he gave two back-to-back blows to the England side. Virat Kohli decided to continue with Siraj after the tea and the bowler didn’t disappoint his captain. In just the first over after tea, Siraj dismissed the England opener, Dom Sibley. Siraj bowled a good length ball and Sibley clipped the ball to KL Rahul who was standing at the Short mid-wicket. Rahul did no mistake and grabbed the catch easily.

Immediately after Sibley’s dismissal, the very next ball Siraj had to bowl was to the comeback man, Haseeb Hameed. Siraj bowled a full delivery into the stumps and Hameed was late enough to bring the bat down in time. The ball went through to bamboozle the stumps and Siraj got two-in-two.
