WATCH: Chahar Brothers Take a Light-Hearted Dig At Babar Azam During Fun Warm-Up Drill

Cricket does not always need boundaries, yorkers, or controversies to grab attention. Sometimes, all it takes is a strange warm-up drill and a few players who are willing to laugh at it. That is exactly what happened when the Chahar brothers, Deepak Chahar and Rahul Chahar, recreated a viral practice drill linked to Babar Azam.

The moment was silly, harmless, and funny, and that is why it worked so well with fans.

Chahar brothers troll Babar Azam in the practice session

The original clip, which showed Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan performing an unusual warm-up exercise, had already done the rounds on social media. People were confused. People joked. People made memes. Nobody really knew what the drill was supposed to achieve, and honestly, that mystery made it even funnier.

Cricket fans have sharp eyes. They notice everything. And once something looks odd on camera, it rarely escapes the internet.

The clip spread quickly. Fans shared it not to insult anyone, but because it looked unintentionally funny. Some tried to defend the drill by explaining fitness routines. Others simply laughed and moved on.

That is the reality of modern cricket. Cameras follow players everywhere. One small moment in practice can become bigger than an entire match highlight. And instead of getting annoyed or ignoring it, the Chahar brothers decided to do something smarter, they leaned into it.

Deepak and Rahul Chahar did not write long captions. They did not argue with anyone. They simply recreated the drill in their own style. They copied the movements. They synced their actions. They added a touch of exaggeration. And to top it off, they chose an old Bollywood song that instantly set the mood.

The result felt less like trolling and more like friendly teasing. It looked like something teammates would do in a dressing room to lighten the atmosphere. This was not aggressive mockery. It was not disrespectful. It was the kind of banter fans enjoy, the kind that reminds everyone that cricketers are human before they are athletes.

In an era where cricket rivalries often turn bitter on social media, this moment felt refreshingly normal. No abuse. No outrage. Just laughs and memes. Many fans even appreciated that Indian players acknowledged a viral moment involving Pakistani players without turning it ugly. That alone made the clip stand out.

Cricket today feels heavy. There is always pressure about the rankings, trophies, criticism, selection debates, politics, and expectations. Players operate under constant scrutiny. Moments like these act as pressure valves. They remind fans that not everything has to be serious. That players can smile, joke, and still remain professional.

Deepak and Rahul Chahar did not forget their responsibilities because of one video. Babar Azam did not lose focus because of memes. Everyone continued doing their job. But for a brief moment, the sport felt lighter.

Meanwhile, Pakistan kicked off their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a thrilling win over the Netherlands. The Green Shirts received a great deal of assistance from Faheem Ashraf, who scored a quickfire 29 off 11 balls in a nerve-wracking run-chase. They won by three wickets and are second on the points table with a net run rate of +0.240. Salman Agha-led team will play against the USA on February 10 at SSC Cricket Ground, Sri Lanka.

On the other hand, Team India began their campaign with a win over the USA. The Suryakumar Yadav-led team won by 29 runs. The skipper was adjudged the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 84 off 49 (10 fours, 4 sixes). The Men in Blue are on top of the points table with a net run rate of +1.420. They will take on Namibia in their next game on February 12 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
