Brendon McCullum wins cricket fans’ hearts in Karachi
Former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum has taken some brilliant catches during his glorious career but hed did something really uncanny in Karachi during the third test between Pakistan and England which caught the eyes of almost every cricket fan who had come to witness the game.
Brendon McCullum wanted to gift a signed shirt to a cricket fan in the National Stadium, Karachi but the shirt got stuck on the spectator fencing. The fans at the National Stadium tried using a rod in order to pull down the shirt but failed to do so. McCullum didn’t wait for any ground staff and quickly climbed onto the fence, untangled the shirt and threw it towards the group of fans who were eagerly waiting to get his shirt.
The fans got really excited and all of them clapped for him while applauding his heartwarming gesture. England’s Barmy Army has shared a video of this incident on their official Twitter account as they wrote,” Did you think there’s anything Brendon McCullum can’t do? We had a shirt mishap trying to throw it over a fence… BAZ TO THE RESCUE. “

It’s worth noting that Brendon McCullum has always got some limelight for his out-of-the-box approach. McCullum had shown some really aggressive intent as the leader of the New Zealand side which changed the fortune of Kiwis. McCullum is now serving as the head coach of England’s test team and has used the same aggressive approach in the longest format of the game.

The English media has termed his approach as ‘Bazball’ which has changed the way England are approaching test cricket. They have already won 8 out of their last 9 games and have made it very clear that the team will look to play for results and not for draws. The same approach has helped England defeat Pakistan in Multan and Rawalpindi and are now strongly placed in the Karachi test as well.
