Talking about the match, the Rashid Khan-led MI Cape Town posted a total of 181 runs. The pressure of the big final was evident on Sunrisers Eastern Cape, as they had a shaky start to the chase.
Although Tom Abell and Tony de Zorzi built a 50-plus partnership, their dismissals triggered a dramatic collapse, with the entire batting lineup crumbling like a house of cards. Sunrisers were bowled out for just 105 runs.
With this victory, MI Cape Town secured their first-ever SA20 title, while Sunrisers Eastern Cape fell short of completing a title hat-trick. The Aiden Markram-led side had won both previous SA20 seasons.
