Fans breaching the security and jumping onto the cricket ground in order to watch their favorite players from a close distance has become a common sight in India. This is seen happening often with big names such as MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma. On many occasions, fans have entered the cricket field in order to touch Dhoni’s feet and pay their respects to the most successful Indian Captain. The same has happened with Virat and Rohit quite a few times. However, this time around a fan invaded the ground to touch Rishabh Pant’s feet.
The stand-in Captain, Rishabh Pant, has managed to level the series against the Bavuma-led South African side even after losing the initial two games. Though Pant has not been at his level best with the bat, he has managed to bring India back into the series with his captaincy. Keeping faith in the same XI even after losing the first two games has been one of the highlights of Pant’s captaincy so far.
Fan breaches the security in order to touch Rishabh Pant’s feet
While Team India was returning back to the pavilion after winning the fourth T20I, a fan breached the ground security and came in running towards the Indian Team. He went straight towards the stand-in captain Rishabh Pant and touched his feet. This incident was captured by the fans in the stadium and the video went viral on social media.
The invader was immediately caught by the security personnel and taken out of the field before he could create more fuss. Incidents such as these continue to put a big question mark on the ground security at the cricket stadiums in India. Find below, the video of the entire incident.

The series goes down to the wire
As the Indian side managed well to pull back the series into an even state, now the result depends on the fifth and the final T20I. Both sides will now face each other at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in order to decide the winner of the series. The Indian side looks to have gained momentum after winning two consecutive games hence will be going as favorites into the last T20I.
